Epsom

A joint venture with Neeson Murcutt Architects, the site is located on Epsom Road and is within walking distance of Green Square station. The project is part of the redevelopment of a large industrial site in an area undergoing rapid transformation.

The lower part of the building is clad in a curved brick façade that resembles a flowing skirt wrapping around the building, defining the prominent corner and providing a pedestrian scale to the surrounding streets. Three towers clad in silver grey metallic panels hover above, creating a contrast of colour, pattern and texture to the brick-work skirt below.

The north facing apartments are maximised by creating deep and narrow layouts. Five-metre wide slots separate the three towers and provide light and ventilation to these deep apartment plans. South facing apartments are minimised by creating wide, shallow layouts that receive ample daylight in lieu of direct sunlight.

At ground level a vaulted through site link provides access to the residential lobbies and retail tenancies. The vault aligns with the proposed Letitia Street to the north and contributes to the permeability of the precinct’s pedestrian network. The vault is lined with gloss red tiles to create an exciting urban experience.
